This year, 90,400 Class 12 students will receive benefits, with each student getting Rs 25,000 for laptop purchases. Last year, 78,641 students were given funds for laptops.

Students of the MPBSE in Bhopal have good news as they will again be honored under the Chief Minister’s Incentive Scheme. Students scoring over 75% in Class 12 will receive Rs 25,000 for laptops. Additionally, the top two students in each school will receive scooters. The Education Department has begun preparations for this initiative.
Over 90,000 Students to Receive Laptops and Scooters:
This year, 90,400 students will benefit from the laptop scheme, each receiving Rs 25,000. Compared to last year, this is an increase of 11,759 students. Furthermore, around 7,000 top students from schools will receive scooters. The government of Mohan Yadav will allocate over Rs 225 crore for this initiative.
Education Department Requests Data from MP Board:
To facilitate the distribution of laptops and scooters, the School Education Department has requested data on meritorious students from the MPBSE in Bhopal. The funds are expected to be transferred to students’ accounts by July, following the results of the Lok Sabha elections in June. If the previous year’s announcement by the then-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is implemented, CBSE students might also be included this year.
What is Chief Minister’s Incentive Scheme?
The Chief Minister’s Incentive Scheme was introduced in 2009-10 to reward meritorious Class 12 students of the MP Board with Rs 25,000 for laptops. Initially, students scoring over 85% were eligible, with around 20,000 to 25,000 students benefitting each year. Currently, following the previous government’s announcement, students scoring over 75% are eligible for the laptop funds.
