The MP TET Varg 2 Mains examination is conducted separately for each subject, requiring candidates to select from the available subject list. Possession of the requisite qualification in the respective subject is mandatory.
The Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board has outlined specific educational qualifications for subject teachers in the official rulebook for the MPTET Varg 2 Mains Exam.
A graduate (bachelor’s degree) in the related subject, accompanied by a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or equivalent).
Minimum of 50% marks in graduation in the concerned subject and completion of a one-year B.Ed program.
Minimum of 45% marks in a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject, along with a B.Ed qualification.
At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with a four-year B.El.Ed. (Bachelor in Elementary Education).
Minimum of 50% marks in Higher Secondary or its equivalent with a four-year Bachelor’s degree (B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.).
At least 50% marks in graduation in the concerned subject and completion of a one-year B.Ed. in special education.

Navigate to the “Dashboard” menu option from the homepage.
Locate the “Middle and Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test – 2023” option in the table.
Click on the “Online Form” link under this section.
You will be directed to a login page. If you’re not registered on the portal, complete the registration process with your details.
Once registered, use your login credentials sent to your contact number.
Fill out the application form with your information details.
Submit the form and download a copy of the submitted application for your records.
MP TET Varg 2 Mains Exam Pattern:
The exam consists of a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions.
Each question carries 1 mark, resulting in a total of 150 marks for the exam.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Initially, the rulebook included provisions for negative marking, but this was subsequently removed, meaning there is no negative marking in the exam.
The question paper is divided into two parts: Part-A, which is common for all candidates, and Part-B, where candidates must select one subject.

MPTET Varg 2 Mains Exam Part – B:
In Part-B, candidates will encounter 120 questions based on the subject they select. The total marks for Part-B will be 120. Candidates are only eligible to appear for the exam in the main subject of their graduation degree. Below is the list of subjects available for selection:

Difficulty Level of Questions:
Part A:
The difficulty level of General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Reasoning and Numerical Ability, and Pedagogy in Part A will match the cognitive abilities of a student at the Higher Secondary School level. The difficulty level of questions in Hindi and English subjects will be equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Examination.
Part B:
The difficulty level of Part B questions will be at the graduation level. These questions will be based on the content of the syllabus of classes 9 and 10 in Madhya Pradesh, but their complexity and linkage will reflect a higher level of education. Emphasizing conceptual problem-solving and understanding of pedagogy, the questions aim to assess a deeper level of understanding.
