RRB Group D Recruitment:- The Eastern Railway, through its Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) located at 56, C.R. Avenue, Kolkata, has announced the recruitment process for Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2024-2025. The RRB Group D Bharti is aimed at filling vacancies within the Eastern Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), and Metro Railway under Group ‘C’ (Level-2) and Erstwhile Group ‘D’ (Level-1) categories.

RRB Group D Recruitment Key Dates

  • Date of Notification: July 3, 2024
  • Start of Online Applications: July 10, 2024, at 10:00 hrs
  • Closing of Online Applications: August 9, 2024, at 18:00 hrs

RRB Group D Vacancy Details

The recruitment process aims to fill a total of 15 posts across different units:

  • Level-2 (Group ‘C’): 5 posts
  • Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’): 10 posts

RRB Group D Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Level-2 (Group ‘C’):
  • 12th pass with at least 50% marks from a recognized board, or 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or ITI approved by NCVT.
  • Level-1 (Group ‘D’):
  • 10th pass from a recognized board, or 10th pass plus NAC/ITI approved by NCVT.

2. Scouting/Guiding Qualifications (Applicable for Both Levels):

  • Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
  • Active participation in the Scout Organization for at least five years.
  • Attendance in two National-level or All Indian Railway-level events and two State-level events.

RRB Group D Bharti Age Limit:

  • Level-2 (Group ‘C’): 18 to 30 years (with relaxation for OBC, SC/ST, and other categories)
  • Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’): 18 to 33 years (with similar relaxations)

RRB Group D Recruitment Process

1. Stage-I: Written Test (60 Marks)

  • Consists of 40 objective-type questions and one essay related to Scouts & Guides activities.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 40%

2. Stage-II: Evaluation of Certificates (40 Marks)

  • Marks allocated for participation in National, State, and District-level events, specialized courses, etc.

RRB Group D Recruitment Examination Fees

  • General Candidates: ₹500 (₹400 refundable upon attendance in the written exam)
  • Reserved Categories: ₹250 (fully refundable upon attendance in the written exam)

The recruitment for Scouts & Guides Quota by Eastern Railway involves a meticulous selection process to ensure only the most qualified candidates are chosen. The process is divided into two primary stages—Stage-I (Written Test) and Stage-II (Evaluation of Certificates).

Stage-I: Written Test (60 Marks)

The evaluation in Stage-II focuses on the candidate’s participation and achievements in various Scouts & Guides activities, categorized into four sections:

1. National Events/National Jamboree Participation:

  • First two certificates: No marks (as they meet the minimum eligibility criteria).
  • One additional event: 7 Marks.
  • Two or more additional events: 10 Marks.

2. State Events/Rallies Participation:

  • First two certificates: No marks (as they meet the minimum eligibility criteria).
  • One additional event: 7 Marks.
  • Two or more additional events: 10 Marks.

3. Specialized Scouts/Guides Course (National/State/All Indian Railways Level):

  • One Course: 7 Marks.
  • Two or more Courses: 10 Marks.

4. District Rallies Participation:

  • One certificate: No marks.
  • Two certificates: 7 Marks.
  • Three certificates: 10 Marks.
  • Total Marks: 100 Marks (Stage-I and Stage-II combined).

Steps to Submit Online Application for RRB Group D Recruitment

  1. Visit the Official Website: Navigate to the [RRC/ER Kolkata official website](http://www.rrcer.org) and click on the “Online/E-Application for Scouts & Guides Quota/2024-25” link.
  2. New Registration: Enter personal information including name, father’s name, date of birth, community, email, and mobile number. Upon submission, a registration number and password will be sent to the registered email/SMS
  3. Login: Use the registration number and password to complete the registration process by following the instructions provided.
  4. Upload Documents: Provide a scanned copy of your photograph, signature, and LTI, along with self-attested certificates as proof of date of birth, education/technical qualifications, caste, income certificate, and Scouts & Guides achievements.
  5. Application Submission: After completing the form, submit it and note down the Unique Application Number generated.
  6. Final Submission: Ensure to submit the application before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.

Important Notes
